Expert Review is free for readers because it is reader-supported. When you click a link on our site and sign up for a product, we may earn an affiliate commission — at no extra cost to you. These commissions fund our research, testing, and writing.
Our Affiliate Relationships
Our primary affiliate relationship is the Xero Affiliate Program (application in progress). We may also participate in affiliate programs for other accounting software we review. We disclose these relationships clearly wherever they apply.
Our promise
What Commissions Don’t Change
Commissions never influence our ratings, rankings, or recommendations. Our review process is the same whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with a vendor:
- We research pricing and features independently
- We highlight weaknesses as well as strengths
- We recommend only products we genuinely believe serve small businesses well
- We update reviews when facts change, regardless of affiliate status
If a product is not right for you, we will say so — even if it costs us a commission.
